Writing Test for a Casual Mobile Title

As part of my writing application to a large mobile company focusing on casual titles, I was asked to write the dialogue script for a storyline in the game. The task provided tight challenges - I knew from my experience that in mobile games, dialogue has to be short and snappy in order to not break the gameplay loop. To ensure that the story would be satisfying for players, I limited myself to 100 characters per line and ensured that each scene was only 3-6 lines of dialogue. This meant I had to ensure the characterisation was direct yet enjoyable.

I enjoyed the challenge this task presented - it was a genre I didn't have much experience in, but one that let me utilise a more comedic style. I deliberately tried to avoid a negative confrontation between the two female characters as I wanted to avoid the cliches of the drama genre, and I was happy with the twist this provided in the story.
